COVID-19 Impact and Resources for CA FBLA State Organization and Chapters
For 2020-2021, all in-person events and conferences will be taking place in virtual formats; however, the 2020-2021 State Leadership Conference (SLC) location/format has yet to be determined.
Every effort is being made by the CA FBLA leadership teams to ensure that this temporary transition to virtual events is a rich and exciting change and that the quantity and quality of leadership and learning experiences is augmented for all.
San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) is hosting the Go Virtual! Career Pathways Conference in mid-October. There are over 50 breakouts to choose from between the student and educator experiences. In order to simplify the conference, the out of county registration fees were dropped. Sign up today or tomorrow (posted October 8) you will also have a chance to sign your students up to attend the student sessions while you enjoy the educator breakouts!
CTE Online is hosting virtual social hours, entitled CTE Online 101. The first session was just yesterday and the next one is scheduled for November 5, 2020 @ 4:00 pm. You will learn your way around the new CTE Online site and chat with colleagues at the same time. Click here to register!
Sector Collaboration Meetings – November 2-17
The next round of Sector Collaboration meetings has been scheduled through SDCOE. The meetings will take place throughout November, and this round they’ll go from 3-5pm in order to accommodate the many different teaching schedules that you are busy keeping up with during the day.
These will run in a similar way to the meetings you attended in July/August, with breakout rooms by pathway.

Use Gray Zone ethical dilemmas to generate online discussions on discussion boards. If you use the MBA Learning Center (Canvas), here's how to use the built-in discussion board. Each of MBA Research's Learning Activity Packages (LAPs) includes a Gray Zone. This includes the 72 ethics-focused LAPs available at no cost thanks to the Daniels Fund High School Ethics Initiative.
