LOCAL CHAPTER ANNUAL BUSINESS REPORT
Category: Prejudged Reports and Presentation
Overview: This event consist of producing a report detailing the chapter's annual business plan. Follow the rating sheet sequence in writing the report. Projects used for other FBLA reports may be included. And new for 2020, the top eight reports based on prejudging will present their chapter report to judges.
Skills: The Hamden L. Forkner Award recognizes FBLA chapters that effectively summarize their year’s activities. The event provides participants with valuable experience in preparing annual business reports.
Eligibility: Members representing their chapters in the writing and submitting of this report may also compete in up to two SLC individual and/or team events.
State: Each local chapter may submit one (1) entry.
National: The top four (4) places at the state competition will represent California at the National Leadership Conference. NOTE: Some SLC top-10 competitors will become eligible for the national conference as a result of drops. Make sure you get early approval from your parents to attend the National Conference so you will be in a position to say "yes" to your adviser if you are "bumped up".
Event Specific Guidelines:
- Divider pages and appendices are optional and must be included in the page count.
- Report should include the chapter’s program of work
- Report describes activities of the chapter that were conducted between the start of the previous State Leadership Conference and the current State Leadership Conference.
Submission: Project must be submitted online in Blue Panda as a PDF.
For LCABR Competition: March 19, 2021 by 11:59 pm. Conference registration (at least one member) is required for report to be judged. Missing the deadline will forfeit chapter participation. Hint: Allow for plenty of time to upload your work.
For GOLD SEAL: Chapters need to send a copy of their LCABR and a copy of their final Program of Work Form (POW) to their Section Director by the first Friday in March (March 19, 2021).
Finalists (For Competition): The top eight (8) chapters with the highest prejudged score will participate in a presention of their report before judges at the State Leadership Conference.

Q & A: 3 min
JUDGING: Judges will use the rating sheets (prejudged or presentation) to score competitors. The panel of judges evaluating prejudged materials may not necessarily be the same panel evaluating the presentations. All decisions of the judges are final.
